Conservation Note:
There were no secure surfaces for attachment to the box assembly, which would have partly filled in the large gap that exists at the end of the box assembly. Due to the lack of intervening fragments to make strong joins possible, two wooden display racks were constructed to serve as mounts for these two groups. The fragments are held on the racks by stainless steel rods set into the racks beneath the fragments. These are placed on the platform west of the head end.
